Middlesbrough FC’s training ground is based in Hurworth-on-Tees, adjacent to Rockliffe Golf and Spa Resort in County Durham. It serves as the Club’s elite performance base for the First Team and Academy, providing a high-performance environment designed to support professional football development and preparation.
The facility is built around a series of high-quality natural grass pitches, maintained to professional standards to ensure consistent playing conditions throughout the season. These are supported by specialist sports science, medical, recovery and analysis facilities, enabling a fully integrated approach to performance, rehabilitation and player development.
Purpose-built indoor spaces and strength and conditioning areas provide year-round training capability, allowing players to prepare and recover effectively in all conditions. The co-location of football operations within a dedicated performance campus ensures alignment across the Club’s pathways, supporting elite standards from academy development through to first-team football.
