Founded in 1869, Kilmarnock Football Club is one of Scotland's oldest professional football clubs. Based at Rugby Park since 1899, the club has enjoyed a proud history that includes the Scottish league title in 1964–65, multiple domestic cup successes, and regular participation in European competition.
The stadium has continually evolved to meet the demands of the modern game while retaining its strong community identity. In May 2026, the stadium installed a new state-of-the-art hybrid grass pitch, providing an elite playing surface that combines natural turf with reinforced synthetic fibres for exceptional durability and year-round performance. The venue also features a modern performance gym designed to support professional athletes with strength, conditioning, and rehabilitation programmes. Complementing the sporting facilities is a versatile function and events space, making Rugby Park an ideal Team Base Camp Training Centre.
