The hotel has worked with a wide range of sports teams over the years, from academy squads through to national teams, predominantly in football, but also rugby, hockey, and athletics. With a local club recently competing in the Premier League, we have welcomed most Premier League teams to the hotel. The property was also selected as a base camp for a national women's team during UEFA Women's Euro 2022.
In addition, we have hosted several international club teams while touring and playing fixtures against Burnley and Blackburn. Most recently, these have included Lazio, with Espanyol and Torino scheduled to stay during summer 2026.
Our Head Chef was previously the Lead Chef at a Premier League football club and has extensive experience in designing and delivering high-performance team menus tailored to the needs of elite athletes.
